Wasabi Tei vs Chikuwa Tei

Wasabi Tei

Small and cosy place think can only allow up to 20pax.

Traditional Japanese restaurant siting bar counter.

I chanced this restaurant while shopping @ far east plaza few years ago. 

Only ate few times cos the queue is very long.

However that day we manage to get a sit without queuing , maybe because it is a weekday or there are too many eateries around with the opening of ION ....

We order : 

Salmon sashimi 

It the best sashimi I had in my life....

The salmon is fresh & simply melted into my mouth.

The picture  already show everything.

Look at the many order of salmon at the counter.

Omelette chickens & Unagi

Both taste normal.

Chawanmushi

Although there are alotof ingredient but taste also so so.

Verdict : Sashimi & Sushi win

Chikuwa Tei

Chikuwa Tei is the venture of the former chef of the wildly popular Wasabi Tei at Far East Plaza. 

Spacious Restaurant

We order : 

Salmon sashimi

It also melted in to the mouth but still prefer Wasabi Tei Salmon Sashimi.

I m sure both pics already show who is the winner.

Unagi (うなぎ) 

Taste the best I ever had...love the sauce...

We order mixed tempura rice which is soso. 

Verdict : Unagi is the winner
