Christmas celebration 2014

Unusual christmas experience.
My theme is artificial snow this year.
So far only managed to see this 3 places :

1)Tanglin Mall:
Outdoor
Crowd: Mostly caucasian
Last about 15mins
Snow time : 7:45pm weekday &
                    7:45 & 8:45pm Weekday

2) City Square Mall
Both Indoor & outdoor snow
Timing : 
Indoor : 
daily except mon
2pm & 7pm Tues to Fri
1pm, 4pm & 7pm Weekend
Musical first then end with indoor snow

Outdoor  : 
8pm & 9pm daily

Crowd : Mostly Indian

Additional : 
1)There are a mini carnival outside the mall
2)Mini train ride around the park for 5mins 
cost $6 for an adult & a child

I hate shopping malls who limit.
Recently I went Liang court during weekday, was disappointed that there is no more wrapping paper.Moreover I actually changed during noon time.
I never get Vivo city gift wrapper too.Understand a lot of shoppers there but still disappointed that I do not get it.
I love Metro,Toy R rus who prepared lot of gift wrapper for their customer.They specially set up a booth for this.

Beside sales &  gift wrap, freebie is also another plus reason to shop during this period.

Yes I will always bring YJ along.
He already had his lunch (porridge with fish & pork) but he still want our food @_@
We give him some bite of the dim sum.
The restaurant serve baby food too-porridge & noodles but not ordering for YJ who just had his lunch before we come here.

I love the warmer for the soup which will keep the soup hot.

 Something different : Wasabi Prawn
The taste is just nice but few prawn cost $28.

Be prepared all the dishes taste (except wasabi prawn & dim sum) very authentic Sichuan but not very strong version.I been there their version is stronger & more oily so not too bad.It is quite refreshing to have such a meal. Their signature dishes are unlike Singapore version.

E.g Mapo Doufu-will never taste very different from the usual in Singapore chinese restaurants.

My mum & my bro find the food very refreshing & nice.

For me ,I am not very fancy in authentic Sichuan taste.

Ever stayed there for a period.

That time it was quite refreshing for me that I eat quite a number of their authentic meals in a day for days until very sick of the food. 

The price is reasonable despite it is located in this hotel , high storey with view & nice ambient.

We spent ard $140 for this include dessert after 20% DBS /POSB CC discount

Celebrity shop -The Mama shop by Felicia Chin & Sora Ma

ovomaltine stawberry waffle $4.90

Personally feel - It would taste better if the chocolate spread would be more. The chocolate spread is very little to match the sour stawberry. The waffle taste not bad.

                This is nice ! All the fillings are good match.

There is no aircon here at the shop, limited number of table indoor but ample space outdoor.This is why they didnt name it "cafe".The place is very humid in the afternoon when I came.Only 4 fans available & they cant move. It is ideal for afternoon tea take away or star catching Felicia Chin who is always there at the shop.

Mooncake mini tasting festival 2014

Got this at promotional rate from Groupon -$48
Saw the box packaging is from last year.
I hope the mooncake is not from last year @_@
Whatever it is , I ate it. It is so nice. 

 I think the durian filling has override the snowskin.
Yummy!

 On my 2nd plate, i just ate the durian filling...oops

Personally feel they should use the same packaging as this year to ease our feeling that this is from last year...
Yes I will get this again.

2) Fragrance -Select:Nuts Varieties (伍仁月饼)
Got this @ $22.40 online promotion.
Just wanna try this for fun & this is surprising very good! The best 伍仁 I ever had.The taste is just nice - not too sweet, sour.
I am going to get this next year!

Best match with tea 

3)  TCC-Royal Elixir
Promotion from TCC, got this @ $38.50 when I dine with a friend @ TCC.Got a free cake in additional.

Baileys amore,Royal scarlet litchi,Choya, Rum & raisin
This is such a disappointment for me. I vomit at one bite for all the taste.
My first try on alcohol content.
Personally dont like this.
I wont get this again.

4) Mei Xin HK- Summer fruits
Decide to give it a try for this HK famous food chain.
It is such a disappointment too for me.
My first fruit mooncake & I hope it wont be the last one...@_@
Personally feel the fruit taste are so artificial compare to other brands which I had tried during mooncake fair. 
I wont get this again.

NIce packing but I dont think I will get this 2 brand again next year : 

 Will try more unique unusual mooncake next year if I am not pregnant @_@
