Chong Wen Ge Café 崇文阁 - Peranakan Café

The concept & decor is very unique.

Food
Spicy type





Laksa
Look good but taste normal.
I prefer katong laksa, hub taste the best claypot laksa hence he claim this one not as good.

Meesiam 
Alotof ppl claim it the best  or authentic one.
No lime was given.
Personally feel it taste very normal too.
I prefer Toastbox version.
The prawn is big but it farm prawn according to my mum who is expert in tasting seafood.

They claim homemake.
My mum can taste it overnight 1 @_@
All of us prefer Bagawan solo version
taste normal too but alotof people claim it very traditional & best taste.

My husband give a thumb up.
Personally dont like this style.
It taste like hongkong milk tea style so if u like this style this is very good

Coconut 
My mum comment they are using old coconut not sure old or young are good 



Children friendly ?
They do ve baby chair but all the main course are spicy
so do bring ur children food if u are planning to bring them here.

My comment:
Hopefully they can improve on their food.

Love the style & environment.
Great place for shooting
Another great place to sit down relax enjoy the signature teh c.

My disappointment :
Limited meal choices and no dessert like chendol.
All the meal are spicy.
That my personal review alotof people claim their meesiam is the best & got the taste of peranakan.
Do support this cafe as it is very unique & unusual in Singapore.

Alight at Telok Ayer MRT station (Downtown line) Exit from Exit A to reach Cross Street Turn left into Telok Ayer Street  3 minutes walk to Chong Wen Ge (Right next to Thian Hock Keng Temple)
