Baby 2 - 2nd workshop - TMC workshop : All things confinement

I decided to book Thomson medical confinement package & TCM(Traditional chinese medicine) for this 2nd pregnancy, this workshop came in time.I can one time book these 2 package at promotional rate.

It a pity there is not much information  about the time to start. I did call the cordlife for the workshop time , the staff told me it is at 1pm.
When I reached at 1pm...the 1st topic already started 1/2 way & confinement food tasting actually started at 12pm & ended when I reached there.
I wanted to taste the confinement food before I book.
Personally feel the booth should have the sample for customer to book.
I decide to give it a gamble to book since it cheaper than during the TMC confinement tasting session & it is my intention to book this in the 1st place.
Hopefully I wont get disappointed.

Price list for TCM - confinement herbal care

I miss this promotion for my #1 & pay usual price because I couldnt decide to book the package during the #1 time workshop.

How it works:
See the physician after birth at the hospital after delivery but they are shifting out to the opposite block of TMC. They claimed they could make arrangement to see the patient in TMC.I pray hard yes cos after delivery I wish to stay as much indoor as possible.

The physician will check health & customise the confinement medicine according to your body.Their medicine is in powder & capsule form so not need to brew.
Safe the trouble, CL can save the time for taking care of the newborn & other stuffs.

PS : I check other places need to brew also cost around the same price for confinement.
Personally prefer TMC TCM as it like custom made according to our body .

I am very lucky when I saw it is only for 1st 250 !I m No 243!Earlier on I was listening to the talk  & only explore the booth when it is cord life talk.
They are drawing live now! Imagine they got to finish 250 people within this event time frame.

I miss the organic nail spa...I only saw this after the talk.
Most of the booth already cleared when the talk has end.
Maybe they should keep open for a while.
Anyway still a winner for all the gift!

Baby 2 - 1st seminar : Pigeon Breastfeeding 7May 2016

What attract to me to join this :

1) breastfeeding - 1st baby failed so I hope 2nd baby would be successful.

My friend attended this seminar before & she has breastfeed for 2yrs ++ until she decide to stop so decide to give it a try

2)cheap fees with lunch & goodies bag

Cost : 1pax $20, 2pax $25 only 1 goodies bag

So pay $5 more for husband to sit in listen with me & enjoy lunch buffet.

Timing a bit long I guess breastfeeding is not an easy task so decide to give it a try.

Realise Breastfeeding is just a part of the workshop ...there are different topics cover like :

1)Taking care of BB

2)Different illness which newborn will be encounter

3)BB massage

Table , paper , pen are provided for us to write down the notes.

Lunch time: 

This is  my portion as I cant take fish & beef which are the meat of this seminar.

Luckily the soup & fusilli are nice .

 This is my husband one-lucky i bring him to help me eat :P

There are beef which I didnt take due to religion reason.

 Fish : I cant take it sadly

 Salad session: 
 I also didnt take it because pregnant not suppose to eat raw food

Snack session : serve at all times - curry puff, sandwiches etc 

This hotel serve very nice coffee & TWG tea.. too bad I cant drink more because of my pregnancy.

My personal comments after the workshop:

1)Useful for new parents & for those who dont have time to attend the childbirth workshop.

2)The taking care of bb from Mount A is very detailed or lengthy if I compare with TMC childbirth education course...personally prefer TMC.

There is a part - bathing time
The speaker mention few times to wash the hand before cleanse the bb.

When bb finish his head washing, the speaker mentioned "ask someone to look after the bb while u wash again your hand before bath bb".

Personally feel usually only 1 person do the washing, not every time will have another person to be around + bb bathing need 2 person?

I didnt recall TMC course bathing part need 2 person to bath BB

3) The food is not full for me as I cant take beef & fish...maybe the organiser should consider about participant religion.

4)Hot water is always available for pregnant so I think this is a plus point

5)Lunch time is only 45mins- consider short, imagine everything need to queue - food & toilet breaks

6)Personally prefer the workshop session shorter instead.

Overall it is still good for value if you have time.

Happy that I get to bump GSS every pregnancy!
I will try to shop during GSS then until the last trim then will get all the balance necessities stuff.

Very hard to get a shoes at this price!It is not bad too.Especially when feet started to swell...now shoes are not cheap...personally it is quite wasteful spend more $$$ on a shoes temporary for this few months.

My tip:If I m in 1st trim , I will get 1 size bigger for both pants & tops
From my #1 experience, I got just nice end up it is very tight 1/2way that I need to get clothing again.

Now I m in my 5th mth, I can choose to get just nice or 1 size up.I decide to get just nice as I m going to wear now.I cant wait until last trim then wear then the clothing only wear 3mths also not really worth.
